Bvlgari Cinemagia rose gold necklace

Sep 6, 2022
Set with curved cut opal, tanzanite and pink tourmaline, accented with round-cut diamonds, the collar is crafted from rose gold.

This necklace from BVLGARI's 2019 "Cinemagia" fine jewelry collection, the designer uses colorful jewelry stones to recreate the Monete coin necklace design that emerged in the 1970s, paying tribute to the heyday of Italian cinema , the "La Dolce Vita" era.

Faithful to the laminated structure of the Monete necklace, the entire piece consists of 6 long rose gold chains, with a sloped silhouette that naturally fits the neck. The antique silver coins in the original were replaced with three curved colored center stones – light blue opaldark blue tanzanite and pink tourmaline – all with a traditional gold-hoop bezel structure with a bright and full-bodied gemstone tone.

Following the brand's signature "Tubogas" process, BVLGARI winds rose gold into a tight spiral gold ring without metal welding, allowing the internal structure to be cleverly hidden. This technique was first applied to BVLGARI's Serpenti snake bracelet design in the late 1940s, and its name "Tubogas" is derived from the exhaust pipe shape of an antique sports car.

The most special feature of this necklace is the diamond decoration on the side walls, specially designed for a coherent gold ring shape, which ensures that the adjacent long chains fit closely, while echoing the spiral structure of the "Tubogas", which is the finishing touch of the entire piece.
