Mimotogi Jardin Mystérieux brooch

Sep 16, 2022

Paved with sapphires, garnets, emeralds, pink spinels, purple sapphires and diamonds, a teardrop-shaped conch bead is dropped under the brooch.

Japanese jeweller Mikimoto unveiled this brooch in its new fine jewelry collection "Jardin Mystérieux" in 2019, inspired by European courtyards, showcasing flowers, trees, blue skies and doorwaysThe designers use colorful treasures and light pink conch beads to create a fairytale-like dream atmosphere.

The entire brooch has a double-layer structure, and the top layer is a courtyard door made of platinum, outlining the crisscrossing grid; The top is designed with a semicircular silhouette, faithful to the arch structure typical of European courtyards; The doors are also embellished with square and stepped-cut diamonds, and the lower part extends into a curtain-like naturally draped structure, visually lighter.

The bottom of the brooch is laid out with gorgeous gemstones to create an oil painting-like garden view – the sky is covered with sapphires and diamonds, forming a natural transition from deep blue to baise; The trees are decorated with garnets, reminiscent of verdant vine leaves; The flowers are inlaid with purple-pink spinel and sapphires, and a natural conch bead is dropped below, creating a rounded, teardrop-shaped silhouette, and the mild pink tone reflects the flowers.

The most special feature of this work is that the courtyard door is hidden with an open structure – the designer has specially created an exquisite door bolt, which can be gently opened to fully enjoy the lush courtyard scene, and cleverly interpret two different wearing styles.
