Jewelry' Boucheron presents Jack de Boucheron's new work: Cofalit's ultimate eco-friendly material

Oct 6, 2022

Boucheron has just launched a new season of the "Jack de Boucheron" series, "Ultime", which is still inspired by the "headphone cable", highlighting the geometric tapered buckle and gold chain decoration. The biggest highlight of the new work is the introduction of an industrial recycled material called "Cofalit" as the basis for shaping, and the mineral-like black texture contrasts with the diamond white gold.

Released in 2019, the "Jack de Boucheron" series is designed with a technical feel – the gold long chain is like a coil of the earphone cable, the chain buckle is shaped into a geometric ribbed shape, and the "Jack" in the series name also comes from the word "Phone Jack".

The "Cofalit" material used in this season's new work is a recycled industrial waste made by vitrification and inertia treatment, which has been treated at a high temperature of 1400 degrees Celsius with a mineral-like black luster, a hard texture and can be cut and polished like a gemstone, perfectly interpreting Boucheron's design vision - Redefining the meaning of precious materials".

The new work presents a total of 3 pieces, all made of white gold and Cofalit material, in a new and futuristic style - brooches and stud earrings are embellished with shimmering round diamonds at both ends of the geometric tapered shape, which collides with rustic recycled materials; The necklace is paired with a slender white gold chain for a black and white contrast and can be worn in a double-lap bracelet.
